John established Creative Outdoors in 2007 having worked for over 12 years in a range of practical conservation and horticultural projects at home and abroad. He has worked on projects involving volunteers, New Deal Placements, people recovering from mental health problems and school children.
Most recently John worked for BTCV and Rethink (mental health charity) at the Green Health Partnership for 7 years, enabling people recovering from mental health problems to contribute towards practical conservation projects, organic fruit and vegetable production and wildlife gardening.
John is a tutor for Kent Adult Education Authority, delivering courses on Garden Design, Hedgelaying, Organic Gardening, Grow your own Vegetables, Wildlife Gardening and Living Willow Sculpture
