PEACE GARDEN AREA
"The children worked with John on designing a new ‘Peace Garden’ for the school which included a willow seat, insect hotel and planting beds. The children put together a design and then got to work on making it. I got a little bit worried when I saw the saws come out but under John’s careful guidance the children took responsibility for all their own cutting, digging and planting and no fingers or toes were lost. The enthusiasm from the children was fantastic to see and the finished garden is amazing. We have had lots of positive comments from parents and visitors as they pass the garden and it is amazing just how creative a few children can be in just three days.
